Cleaning my tapes - Long ago(? 15 years it s like yesteday), I borrowed this cd and make a tapes...Actually I m reoganizing my music and i found this tapes that i d completly forgotten. I went on amazon and buy the best of. It was great but ther was only one song of big iron horses that I ve on my tape.So I ordered it and was nt desapointed : It s great even if it s easy music. I love it and play it all the time!
Terrific Album - This is one of Restless Heart s finest albums & as always, it contains the same lush harmonies & great songs that the band is known for. It also contains 2 of the bands biggest hits - Tell me what you Dream - a sexy mid-tempo number with teriffic vocals, great guitar & a searing sax solo and When She Cries which is a very catchy song & sounds a lil more country than the former. Both were big crossover hits in 1992 and were played not only on country music stations but pop music stations as well and they surely garnered the band many new fans on both sides of the fence. The other songs here are definitely worth hearing as well. The leadoff song - Mending Fences has lots of energy & is a teriffic uptempo number. Same goes for We got the Love, Just in Time & the honky tonk styled - Born in a High Wind. Blame It on Love has a great mid-tempo jazzy feel to it but is still very country and Meet Me on the Other Side is an uplifting track showing off the bands great harmonies. And last but not least, the title track Big Iron Horses is a touching & beautiful ballad. All in all, this album is very strong from start to finish & it is surely one of the bands very best. Highly recommended.P.S. The tracklist that Amazon has for this album listed is incorrect. It should look like this:1. Mending Fences 2. We Got the Love 3. As Far as I Can Tell 4. When She Cries 5. Meet Me on the Other Side 6. Tell me what you Dream7. Blame It on Love 8. Born in a High Wind 9. Just in Time 10. Big Iron Horses
Decent buy - Although this CD rates as the third best Restless Heart CD (out of 3) in my collection, it is several notches above what appears to be the norm in the music business these days. These guys are truly gifted and rival the Eagles harmonies with their own special brand. Recommended.
